1Do you spray trees?
No, unfortunately we do not.
2I have a tree that I want moved from my front yard to the back. Is that something you do?
No, unfortunately we don’t have the equipment for that.
3I have a tree that doesn’t look healthy and I need to know if it can be saved or if it should be removed.
We’ll be glad to send someone out to take a look.
4Are you licensed with the city?
Yes. Heartwood is licensed with Caldwell, Nampa and Boise.
5Are you bonded?
We are insured and we’d be happy to provide you with a certificate of liability.
6How long have you been in business?
Since 2014.
7When is the best time to trim trees?
We prune trees year-round. Insect and disease pressure is down in the winter, so that is an advantage, but wound closure is faster if pruning occurs while it is actively growing. It can be good to avoid serious pruning for a couple weeks during the time of leafing out, as this is a big energy expense and pruning would put extra stress on the tree.
8Do you prune fruit trees?
Yes.
9I have a bunch of shrubs I want trimmed. Is that something you do?
Yes.
10Do I need to get a permit to remove my tree?
Depends on where it’s at. In Caldwell, Nampa and Boise, yes if the tree is within a certain
distance of the right-of-way.
